Welcome to Makabayan!

I'm Sonaya Y. Misbak, a 16 year old student from Xavier University Junior High School. This is my last year as a JHS student as I'm on my 10th grade. The things I've learned from our subjects Filipino and TLE are found in this site as I put my insights, reflections, and opinions here.

I'm a consistent honor student from Kindergarten up until now. I've been joining many contests since young, mainly in sports and journalism. If you know an application called Wattpad, I also write short stories there.

Growing with 4 siblings and as a middle child, I matured quick as I take my responsibility being a daughter and a sister. Also, as an academic achiever, I can't deny the pressure I'm feeling whenever I think about becoming a senior next school year. However, I don't just keep my talents and skills within myself. If I can, I help those who are in need especially in academics. Right now, my goal is to enjoy my life as a high school student.

I created Makabayan for our Filipino and TLE integrated activities. You can see that the content of this site revolves around El Filibusterismo and its history.

These days, I frequently listen to Olivia Rodrigo's Deja Vu and After School by Weeekly.

If I have a spare time for myself, I usually continue writing my story in Wattpad. I also like to scroll through an app called Tiktok if I don't know what I'll be doing. If my friends are available, we play Volleyball or watch movies together.
